Have you ever wanted to experiment with a new eye color? If so, colored contact lenses might have caught your interest. While some opt for makeup or even surgical enhancements to highlight their eyes, cosmetic contact lenses provide a unique and temporary way to alter your eye color. These lenses are popular and generally safe when prescribed by an eye care professional. However, it's essential to understand the fundamental aspects before deciding to change your eye color with colored lenses.

The Difference Between Prescription and Non-Prescription Colored Contact Lenses

Prescription Colored Contacts:

Prescription colored contacts serve a dual-purpose: they correct your vision and change the color of your eyes. These lenses require a prescription from an optometrist or ophthalmologist, similar to regular vision-correcting contact lenses. They're custom-made to perfectly fit your eyes and correct vision problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism.

Non-Prescription Colored Contacts:

Non-prescription colored contacts, also known as cosmetic lenses, are designed just for aesthetic changes and do not correct vision. Available without a prescription, these lenses come in various colors and patterns, allowing for a complete transformation of your eye color.

Tints of Colored Contact Lenses

Visibility Tint:

This is a faint tint, usually light blue or green, added to lenses to make them easier to see during insertion and removal. Visibility tints are subtle and do not change your eye color.

Enhancement Tint:

Color-enhancing lenses bring the definition of the outer edge of the iris and intensify the reflection of light on the eye. Instead of completely changing your natural eye color, these lenses mimic and enhance the natural patterns of the iris.

Blending Tints:

We have utilized advanced technology and craftsmanship to incorporate multiple colors into a single cosmetic lens, resulting in a fusion effect. For instance, combinations like purple + pink, yellow + blue, or gray + blue enable wearers to experience various color transitions and styles within a single wearing session.

Opaque Tint:

Opaque tint lenses are also available in a wide range of designs inspired by various anime and manga series such as Chainsaw Man, Demon Slayer, Genshin Impact, Jujutsu Kaisen, Vampire Survivors, and many more. These cosplay lenses are specifically designed to make you stand out at costume parties or during Halloween, allowing you to recreate the distinctive eye colors and styles of your favorite characters from these series.

How to Wear Colored Contact Lenses Correctly

1. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before handling lenses.
2. Inspect lenses for any defects before use.
3. Use your fingertips to handle lenses, avoiding nails to prevent tearing.
4. Ensure the lens is correctly oriented before wearing.
5. Soak lenses in multipurpose solution for at least 6 hours before first use.
6. Always use appropriate lens solution; avoid tap water.
7. To insert, lift your upper eyelid with one hand and pull down the lower eyelid with the other, placing the lens on your eye.
8. Blink to center the lens and repeat for the other eye.
9. If vision is blurry, check for oil on the lens or ensure it's in the correct eye.
10. To remove, pull down the lower eyelid, look to the side, slide the lens down, and pinch it out.
11. Clean lenses by rubbing them in your palm with solution, then rinse and store in fresh solution.
12. Replace the solution in the lens case regularly and change the case every three months to avoid contamination.
